Supporting Sustainable Energy Projects Across the South West

SparrowNews

Renewable energy projects continue to be an important part of our workload, and over recent weeks we've been supporting the construction of biogas facilities at two locations across the South West.

Our Tadano AC 3.060-1 was on site in Plymouth, while our Liebherr LTM1150-5.3 worked in the sunshine at Bude, both carrying out the precise installation of large concrete panels to form new biogas tanks.

A biogas tank, also known as a biogas digester, is a sealed structure where organic waste naturally breaks down in the absence of oxygen, producing renewable biogas that can be used as a sustainable source of energy.

Although the weather couldn't have been more different between the two sites, the objective remained the same. Careful planning, accurate lifting and experienced operators ensured each concrete panel was positioned safely and precisely as these impressive structures began to take shape.

Projects like these demonstrate how specialist crane operations play an important role in supporting the UK's growing renewable energy sector. We're proud to help deliver infrastructure that will contribute to cleaner, more sustainable energy for years to come.
