One of our UNIC 706 spider cranes was in action in Bristol yesterday, assisting with the removal of a telecoms monopole from a farmer’s field.
The mast was carefully dismantled and removed in sections weighing to a maximum of 1 tonne, with the spider crane providing the controlled lifting capability needed to safely lower each section to the ground.
A tracked cherry picker was also used alongside the crane, providing our operatives with safe access to attach and manage the lifting tackle during the dismantling process.
Working in a rural location with restricted access, the compact size and versatility of spider crane hire made it an ideal solution for the project.
Another successful telecoms mast removal and mini crane hire project completed by the Sparrow Crane Hire team in Bristol.
