There is more to crane lifting than meets the eye!
Full road closure to remove a mobile home from the back garden of a property in Tewkesbury. The operation required careful consideration as an awkward telephone wire had to be taken care of too! A busy day for our skilled crew and one of our DEMAG AC100-4L fleet.
Beyond the obvious lifting, here’s a list of typical tasks involved in a professional crane lift:
-
- Conducting site surveys and creating detailed lift plans.
- Arranging road closures and traffic management.
- Assessing ground conditions and making precautions for crane stability.
- Obtaining necessary permits and liaising with local authorities.
- Insuring there are exclusion zones for public safety.
- Selecting appropriate rigging equipment for safe lifting.
- Assigning qualified personnel: appointed person, lift supervisor, slinger/signaller.
- Performing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
Meticulous planning, preparation, and skilled execution is Sparrow's mission for every lift. See diagram of this lift below.
