When YMCA Plymouth asked for a helping hand - and a hefty lift - we were delighted to step in. Last week our Sparrow Crane Hire crew donated both time and tonnage, craning a brand new pizza oven over garden walls and into the YMCA’s community space with trademark precision.
“Absolute precision and flair!” was YMCA Plymouth’s verdict - and we’ll take it!
With the oven perfectly positioned, the YMCA team can now fire up fresh, wood-fired pizzas for residents and visitors all summer long. Community meals, youth events, family days - you name it, hot slices are on the way.
A special shout-out goes to Services Design Solution, whose generosity funded and supplied this pizza powerhouse while sponsoring the wider garden project. Partnerships like these turn big ideas into real-world impact.
What’s next? Tiny Tastebuds Programme
Keep an eye on YMCA Plymouth’s upcoming Tiny Tastebuds Programme, aimed at tackling food poverty and teaching healthy eating to the city’s youngest locals. Sparrow is proud to have played a small part in getting the project off the ground - literally.
