Sparrow Crane Hire is proud to have played a key role in relocating an iconic 80-year-old diner to its new home at The Dandy Highwayman in Cherhill, Wiltshire. In partnership with Plant Speed Ltd, taking care of road haulage, our experienced team undertook this special project with precision and care.
Utilizing our Terex AC100-4L crane, Sparrow Crane Hire carried out the move through a carefully coordinated contract lift operation. The diner was securely lifted using an H-frame lift arrangement, ensuring its safe transport from Yatesbury to Cherhill. We extend our thanks to Plants Speed for their invaluable assistance during the relocation process.
Specialist lift beams were essential to this operation, with lower beams expertly provided by Lifting Gear & Safety Ltd at their Plymouth Depot, and upper beams sourced from our own robust inventory of equipment.
It’s always rewarding to see a piece of local history carefully preserved and relocated, ready to begin a new chapter in its story. Sparrow Crane Hire is delighted to have been part of this unique project.
