Contractors, Beard, have carried out work filling the main pool at Cleveland Pools with clean stone and the installation of filtration pipework. Including work to be completed on the base slab for both pools.
The children’s pool has had the anchor piles installed in the walls so the excavation could begin beneath them, with the new basement plant room to be tackled next.
The Trust needs to raise a further £400,000 over the next few months to deliver all outcomes of the project costing £8m.
Swimmers are expected to return next summer when the outdoor swimming pool opens fully for the first time since 1984.
