CleanEarth's article on the Budweiser Brewing Group installing a Wind turbine at their plant in Magor, Nr. Caldicot, South Wales, states that the company commits to include brewing all their beers with 100% renewable electricity by the end of 2021. Considering the company produces more than a billion pints of beer a year that is an impressive target.

CleanEarth's turbine at Magor, South Wales presently provides a quarter of the energy consumed at the Budweiser Brewing Group's flagship UK brewery. That would be enough to power 2,300 Welsh homes.

UK's longest turbine blades

In order to optimise the available wind as efficiently as possible the blades installed are 68 metres in length, the impressive sweep area equivalent to two Wembley football pitches.

So when Sparrow Crane Hire was asked to assist in the crane lift of these gigantic blades from the ship at Bristol's Avonmouth Dock on the River Avon to be transported the remaining 20 miles to Magor, Nr Caldicot, South Wales we were very pleased to help.
