CleanEarth's article on installing a Wind turbine for the Budweiser Brewing Group for their plant in Magor, South Wales, explains how presently they provide a quarter of the energy they consume at their flagship UK brewery. That would be enough to power 2,300 Welsh homes. The group has committed to brewing all its beers with 100% renewable electricity by the end of 2021. Considering the company produces more than a billion pints of beer a year that is an impressive target.
Sparrow Crane Hire asked to assist in the crane lift of the 68 metre in length blades, the impressive sweep area equivalent to two Wembley football pitches, the longest turbine blades in the UK. Hoisted from the ship at Avonmouth Dock Bristol and being transported the remaining 20 miles to Magor, South Wales. To view more about the Wind Turbine crane lift click here
