Sparrow takes delivery of the largest mobile tower crane in the world

SparrowNews

Sparrow Crane Hire is proud to have taken delivery of the six-axle battery electric-powered Spierings SK1265-AT6 eLift Not only is the Spierings, the largest mobile self-erecting tower crane in the world, but it can also operate 100% emission-free, silently.

The decision to purchase the SK1265 was based on the success and popularity of the SK599 in our fleet and our customers' feedback for the requirement of a larger and more eco-friendly machine. We are training at the factory this week and the Crane will be available for hire from w/c 31st July.

With a maximum 10,000 kg capacity up to 13.2 metres, an unrivalled radius of 60 metres, it has a tip load capacity of 1,700kg at 35 metre horizontal jib height. Maximum lifting height 64.2 m (30° luffed jib).

The SK1265-AT6 Zero-Emission eLift system, can be connected to a 32A grid connection that’s quite often available at most job sites. The system uses between 11A and 25A which can be pre-set at the display, so there's still energy left for other equipment on site.

The PowerPack® battery technology absorbs the peaks in energy usage and will be charged when energy is unused and can also be charged by a small 55kW 3-cylinder diesel engine with the newest Stage V emission certification when a mains outlet is not available and all without affecting performance.

We're looking forward to our first customers trying out our brand new crane. If you would like to hire this crane, please contact us here
