Gapo Remote Control Driving unit

Accessing a tight site with the use of the Gapo Remote Control Driving Unit

SparrowNews

This photo shows our Gapo remote control driving unit (blue) being used to manoeuvre one of our 32tt Self-Erecting Tower Cranes in a tight location. We also used a steering axle connected to the opposing axle which is also very beneficial for constrained sites. Additionally, the 32tt was selected since the contractor didn't want to hit any other houses. In order to allow the crane to be locked off by the operator when not in use, we set the mast height at 19 metres.
