Sparrow Crane Hire was happy to have assisted The Roots Company, which has for the last three years been commissioned by the Longleat Estate to work regularly with their multiple varieties of estate trees, some of the largest Sequoia, Hemlock, and Douglas Fir in the country reside here. The Longleat Estate is on the Wiltshire & Somerset border which comprises of 10,000 acres of parkland, forest, farms, and villages. Watching these brave guys is truly a thrill as they climb and care for these majestic trees including some of the Oldest Oaks and Beech. Here Gus above (the tiny figure in the top branches) is carrying out a Sparrow crane-assisted heavy reduction of an old Oak. Essential work needed to be done, part of an estate wide concern for the trees damaged and structurally compromised during the recent storms.
